As I posted the last few days I am in Dallas to support my mom in her 5th Susan G. Komen 3 day. Today I am thankful for the incredible women and men that support this cause. From every single walker to crew member that makes each 3 day a success. Every single person who walks or volunteers does so for someone they know. Someone in their life has been affected by Breast Cancer. Hopefully one day with the money and research we can eradicate breast cancer all together!
I walked through camp today when I went to pick up my mom. Some of the teams went all out.
This team had hundreds of bras covering three tents.
Then there was team treasure chest:
The people that drive around and cheer on the walkers are amazing. This was the Walker Stalkers and they played music and danced in the back of the pick up truck.
And the Boobilicous Babes of South Texas.
After we got back to the hotel, we met up with some of my cousins that drove to Dallas to cheer my mom on. We went to dinner at a fabulous steak house and stayed up late visiting. Sadly we won’t get to see them at Thanksgiving because they will be in Austin while we are in Kansas so it was great to be able to see them in Dallas.
One more day and my mom will have walked 60 miles in 3 days! Congrats to her and all the amazing participants.
I am looking forward to the closing ceremonies they are always such an emotional and amazing event.
And finally because I am in Texas:
Thanks YALLLL!
