Every year my family walks in the Susan G. Komen 5k on Mother’s Day. I have walked for the last 17 years. When I started there were about 500 people that did it. It has now grown to over 40,000. I didn’t end up going this year. I stayed home with a sick toddler and organized for my big move. However Noor is the first one of my mom’s granddaughters to walk on Mother’s Day with her. Noor is a sleeper. She stays up late but can sleep in with the best of them. She got up at 6 am and got ready to head to the city.
She had her own number:
She raced in celebration of my mom and our Aunt Virginia in Kansas. Sadly there were more names of the woman she raced  in memory of. The first lady on that list she was named after.
(Check out her hair. As I like to say, the squirrels had a good time in there last night. She doesn’t find it very funny but girlfriend has a wild head of hair on her.)
And the sick baby got to watch the bubble guppies on the iPad while everyone was at the race. She slept in until 10 am. Poor girl wasn’t feeling well.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
