Today marks one year to the day that my youngest brother died. I still can’t believe it. It seems like forever and yet it feels like it just happened. Grief is a crazy thing. Sometimes it just hits you and takes your breath away. Today I decided to celebrate his life. We ate ice cream, enjoyed the sun and beach, took a nap, and just spent it with the little girls. My mom is in New York City with my cousins. I haven’t seen her yet, but I plan to stay up until she gets home just to give her a hug. I have talked to most of my other siblings today. I am so grateful for the wonderful family I have.
So onto the beach pictures I took tonight of Babylicious and my cousin Emma. My mom wanted a picture of the girls this summer holding sunflowers on the beach in front of the Ocean. I bought Babylicious and Bossy Boots the Damsak pillow dresses from Jazzy Girl boutique.
Emma was a great little model. She is visiting the beach from Kansas. So it was only fitting she be in the beach shoot holding her state flower. Growing up we would get our pictures in the sunflower fields in Kansas. So I thought we needed a little touch of Kansas at the Jersey shore.
Then we had a dress swap and Emma got some in the black and white dress.
After the quick beach shoot we headed over to Aunt Betty’s Ice Cream Shack in Ocean City, New Jersey. The girls got crazy vanilla which is pink and blue. They loved it. They both got cones and had a really good time eating them.
