Living Life and the final day of the 3 day in Dallas

Ok so I am totally behind in my Thanksgiving posts and posts in general so I am going to finish up about Dallas and move on to the next event in my life. So much is happening in November and frankly life could really not be any better. I am thankful for my family and friends. I am surrounded by such amazing love and people. I smile inside and out these days. I have come a long way in the last few years and life seems to be making more sense than it ever has. Business is great, I am still working a few days a week at the office, and traveling a lot. All things I really enjoy.

So onto the last day of the 3Day. All the walkers, crew, family and friends ended up in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl for closing ceremonies. The day was beautiful.

This is my mom which if you read my blog you know her pretty well by now.

She walked 60 miles in 3 days and she finished 213 out of 2750 people. Yes I am going to brag. She is 61 years old and walked 60 miles, 14 months after a bilateral mastectomy. She is 14 months cancer free and she is amazing. She told me she hurt her calf and was walking really slow. She thought she was at the end of the groups coming in. I had to laugh because I can only imagine if she didn’t hurt herself where she would have finished.

(I posted this picture because my mom always claims that Noor and I are bossy. Well where does she think we picked up our bossy boots from. Her of course! Look at her pointing that finger. The creator of many bossy boots! My mom!)

The woman that are survivors wore pink, the other walkers wore white, there were all the wonderful crew that supported the walkers for three long days, and lots of family and friends. The energy in the Cotton Bowl was amazing.
